CONNECTICUT BALLET'S SUMMER DANCE CARAVAN TO TRAVEL THE STATE

The state's professional ballet company kicks off its annual Summer Dance Caravan in July. The tour takes the company to major venues for four in-state performances in West Hartford, Westport, Middletown, Danbury and one performance in Yonkers, New York.

Entitled ‘Fabulous Solos, Duets & Trios -- World Premieres & Classics,’ the program will include two world premieres by choreographers Eve Chan and Rodney Rivera and favorite duets from the company extensive repertoire of 60 ballets. Artistic Director Brett Raphael will narrate each performance. Attendees should bring a picnic blanket and folding chairs. In most cases, food and drink are available for purchase on site. All events are free with the exception of Ives Concert Park ($10 for adults, $5.00 for children 12 & under).
